Lodging We have agreements with the following hotels to hold rooms until 4 May
2001. Reservations, except in the case of Hotel Tegnérlunden, should
be made directly by participants. Please refer to both SEAC 2001 and
Mary Blomberg. For
reservations at the Tegnérlunden contact Mary
Blomberg. There is a serious shortage of hotel rooms in Stockholm and the number of rooms available to us at the less expensive hotels (nos. 2-7 below) is small (indicated in parentheses next to the prices), so, in order to get your preference, we urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible. We compete with a very large conference being held in Stockholm at the same time, bookings for which were made over a year ago. Be sure to reserve a room in Stockholm if you will be returning after the excursion to Norrköping and Falköping.
"Bed and Breakfast": These accommodations are less expensive than hotels, with prices ranging from 350 SEK for a single and bath shared with the host family. Note that very few actually offer breakfast; however most provide facilities for preparing simple meals. A list of those nearest the Old Observatory is provided. It has not been possible for the LOC to hold any of these accommodation, but reservations must be made by participants through the Bed and Breakfast Center. |
